Want to know the 3 Essential products you need in your daily skincare routine?

There truly are 3 Essential products:

  1. Broad Spectrum SPF- It is very important to go with a Broad- Spectrum because it is protecting you from UVA/UVB rays. UVA is the (aging) rays which account for 95% of our sun exposure. UVA penetrates deeply into the skin layers, damaging collagen and cells which leads to wrinkling. UVB is the (burning) rays which mostly affect the outer layer of the skin. They cause sunburns and tanning that increases the risk of skin cancer and other disorders. Wearing a daily broad-spectrum spf 30 or higher will make a huge difference. A great medical grade sunscreen I recommend is Elta MD. All of Elta MD sunscreens are formulated with zinc oxide, a natural, mineral compound. They also have a sunscreen for every skin type.3 Essential products to have in your Daily skincare routine

  1. Vitamin C- Protecting your skin from the effects of aging. Vitamin C is not only necessary    for collagen production and maintenance, but it is also a potent antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals in the skin. Vitamin C will also help with discoloration and overall skin brightening. I would recommend using at least a 15% L- ascorbic acid everyday in the morning. Adding this into your daily regimen you would apply it before you sunscreen.

  1. Retinol- Retinol is a form of retinoid, a derivative of vitamin A. This product is commonly used to give your skin a healthy boost by minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing texture, help with acne breakouts, and diminishes hyperpigmentation and dark spots. This product works by exfoliating and keeping your skin turned over. As we age our skin does not turn over like it used to when we were younger. When you start this product I recommend using it 3x a week for 2 weeks than slowly adding in another night. This product is a photo-sensitizing product so want to make sure to always use SPF and to only apply this product at night time. Adding this into your daily night time regimen you would apply this before your moisturizer.
