Voluma® Filler Cheeks
JUVÉDERM Voluma® Filler Cheeks, Voluma® filler under eyes, Voluma® Nose Filler
JUVÉDERM Voluma® filler cheeks restore that lost volume to create a younger look. As we age, our faces lose volume causing them to look tired and hollow. Dr. Stephen Giordano, medical director of the Carolina Age Management Institute, and his staff treat people living in and around Charlotte and Huntersville, NC, who want to add volume to their face with Voluma filler cheeks and return a naturally refreshed appearance with Voluma filler under eyes.
Voluma®, also known as JUVÉDERM Voluma®, is a dermal filler that contains hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance found in the body. As part of the aging process, our bodies make less HA which causes the skin to look dry and pale as well as a sunken structure. When injected, it replenishes the lost HA and restores a younger appearance.
The Benefits of Voluma Filler Cheeks
It is beneficial for patients who have experienced significant weight loss, after which the face may appear hollow. It also adds support to the skin, preventing additional loss of volume. This allows the skin to retain moisture better and regain some elasticity. Your face will appear more balanced and restored as your unique facial features are maintained.
What Happens During Voluma Filler Treatments?
Voluma filler treatments are injected into the targeted areas with thin needles just under the skin. With many patients, fewer injections are required to treat the skin. It has a light-weight formula containing larger particles. It easily passes through the skin so that it can bind to the tissue underneath the outer layers of the skin and often requires fewer injections to treat the area. While the injections are typically painless (the solution contains lidocaine), it is possible to have a topical numbing cream for anyone who has any anxiety with needles. Each treatment takes between 15 and 30 minutes; most patients get one to two treatments depending on the severity of volume loss. JUVÉDERM Voluma® filler is FDA approved to last up to two years.
There is no preparation for injections; however, it is recommended patients stop taking any medications or supplements that may thin the blood about five days prior to the treatment as the injections can cause excessive bruising.
It is very common to return to your daily schedule immediately following treatments. The main recommendation is to avoid direct sun exposure for the first few days and wear sunblock. The results are noticeable after the treatment and continue to improve over the next few weeks.
What are the costs in Charlotte and Huntersville?
Treatments vary with each patient based on the extent of the area to be treated, how many injections are needed to achieve the desired look and how many treatments are necessary. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Brilliant Distinction Rewards can apply to Voluma as well. In addition, we offer financing options via CareCredit®.
Is It Right for Me?
This filler may be right for you if your facial structure looks like it has become hollow or if your skin has started to sag. This is often a sign that you have lost elasticity and can use some added volume to your face.
