Introducing The Laser Face Lift: Deep Laser Skin Treatment

As our bodies age, the skin loses much of its natural elasticity, resulting in sagging, drooping, and deep wrinkles. These common signs of the aging process may be distressing, but thankfully there are a number of treatments available. Historically, the most effective way to minimize these signs of age has been with a surgical facelift. For patients who want to rejuvenate their facial appearance without the need for surgery, a good alternative may be the use of deep resurfacing laser therapy.

We are pleased to provide deep resurfacing laser treatments here at Carolina Age Management Institute, and specifically to offer a procedure that we call the laser face lift. Our own Dr. Giordano specializes in laser face lifts, a minimally invasive way to rejuvenate the area around the eyes as well as the upper and mid-face areas.

We welcome you to learn more about the use of deep laser skin treatment in the Charlotte, Huntersville, and Greensboro, NC areas.

Deep Laser Skin Treatment for the Eyes

Deep resurfacing laser treatments can help Huntersville, NC residents with a variety of skin concerns. One common concern? The fine lines and wrinkles we develop around our eyes. It is often said that the eyes are the window to the soul. Your eyes often betray your emotions and help people get to know you and what you are feeling. But, the skin around your eyes can also tell a story. Too little sleep and you likely get bags under your eyes. Collagen production starts to slow as we age, and fine lines and wrinkles begin to pop up around your eyes. This can make you look older than you are.

There are many different options to improve the skin around your eyes and remove crow’s feet and other issues. One popular treatment option is using a deep resurfacing laser to rejuvenate the skin around your eyes. This laser is used to remove layers of the external skin. While it does this, it also stimulates collagen production, which is your body’s response to healing itself. So, as the layers of skin are removed, your body will work to repair it. This leaves you with smoother skin in the area being treated.

When you have a deep resurfacing laser treatment around your eyes, you’ll end up with smoother skin. This can help you look more awake and younger. So, your eyes will tell a happier story to those who look into them.

When you join us for a laser face lift, Dr. Giordano will address not just the eyes, but also any aesthetic concerns you have along the upper or middle section of your face.

Again, deep laser skin treatment involves the stimulation of collagen, which helps to tighten the skin, fill in wrinkles and fine lines, and reduce sagging and jowling. There are a number of specific ways in which deep resurfacing laser treatment can address facial problems, including:

  • Minimizing the appearance of forehead lines and wrinkles
  • Reducing wrinkles and creases at the bridge of the nose and between the eyes
  • Tightening sagging skin around the cheeks, the jawline, or the chin

Ultimately, the use of laser therapy can revitalize your entire facial appearance, producing remarkable results without the need for full anesthesia, for incisions, or for a prolonged recovery time.

What to Expect from Your Laser Face Lift

The first step in the process is joining Dr. Giordano for a consultation. During this appointment, the doctor will evaluate your skin, ask some questions about your aesthetic goals, and verify that deep laser resurfacing is the best treatment option.

If you decide to move forward with a laser face lift, there are a few important things to keep in mind. Here are some basics of what you can expect:

Results are Not Immediate

Since your skin needs time to heal after your deep resurfacing laser treatment, results are not immediate. It is important that you understand results can take a week or more to become visible. Also keep in mind that you may need multiple treatments depending on the severity of the wrinkles you are targeting. Your provider will be able to discuss what you can expect with you in more detail and recommend how many treatments you will need to achieve your desired results.

You Will Need Some Downtime

One of the great things about deep resurfacing laser treatments is that they have minimal downtime. With that said, you may want to allow three or four days to recover, which is certainly easier to manage than the multi-week recovery associated with surgical facelifts.

Note that, during your recovery, it is normal to experience some redness and peeling. These side effects are normal, and should resolve on their own within a few days.

You Will Receive Full Aftercare Instructions

Something else to keep in mind is that, to ensure the best possible results from your laser facelift, you’ll need to care for your skin in the days immediately following your procedure. You’ll be given full guidelines, but one of the main things will be protecting your skin from the sun.

The Procedure is Quick and Comfortable

Laser facelifts can take as little as 30-45 minutes, and are virtually painless.
