Need to fix a saggy neck?

There are many options available at Carolina Age Management Institute to fix a saggy neck in a very effective, reliable, and long-lasting manner without need for substantial pain, downtime, or swelling.  Non-surgical or minimally invasive options are becoming increasingly popular as technology catches up with the aesthetic needs of patients wanting to improve their appearance, reverse aging, or simply age gracefully. How to Effectively Fix a Saggy Neck at CAMI

Some of the  available options today that are non surgical or minimally invasive include Laser Skin Tightening, External Ultrasound Skin Tightening, BOTOX® Neck Lift, Dermal Filler Enhancement, Platysmal Band Reduction via Nerve Ablation, Microneedling RF, Liposuction, Lipodissolvers such as Kybella®, and ThermiTight® RF Subdermal Skin Tightening.

Although we offer all of these options at Carolina Age Management, today’s information will focus on the ThermiTight® method for skin tightening.  Many times a combination of treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired result. For example if there is submental fullest due to excess   adipose tissue,  liposuction or Kybella® may be necessary. However if the skin has excess laxity these methods generally will not be successful, and you will need some form of a skin tightening procedure as well.  However if the only issue is skin laxity, then ThermiTight® is a safe and effective, one time, long lasting, standalone treatment to fix this issue without need for any further procedures.

Thermitight® offers substantial skin tightening that is reliable and effective after one treatment. Additionally there is no down time associated with this procedure and patients can return to work the next day in many cases with no swelling, bruising, or pain. The procedure is performed in the office setting, and usually takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the area being treated. The most common area treated with this device is the neck and takes around 60 minutes. This procedure is safe to do at all times of the year including summertime. In fact many patients select to have this done during the summer months since other modalities such as laser may not be appropriate when the skin is exposed to sun.  Further, we all know that nobody wants downtime during the summer months!  Although the neck is the most popular, many patients are using it to tighten the jowls, arms, knees, thighs, abdomen, buttocks, and even lift sagging breasts. The options are endless with what can be accomplished with the ThermiTight technology.  I state with confidence that this is the best tightening technology available today that delivers surgical results without requiring actual surgery. The technique is done using oral sedation and local anaesthetic which reduces the risk even further for usual surgical complications.

Results can be seen as early as 2 weeks but sometimes may take a couple months to fully mature  as the body rebuilds collagen and elastin improving the tone, texture, and tightness of the skin in a very natural way.  Essentially we are using the body’s own healing methods to reverse the aging process. Many will continue to improve over the course of one year and results last 5 years or more in most cases. The procedure is affordable, and compared to many of the other procedures mentioned is much easier on the pocketbook.

Overall this procedure offers very little downside, with predictable and substantial results. We believe this technology is the representation of the future of aesthetic medicine,  and will only continue to provide superior results to patients looking for minimally invasive methods to  reverse the effects of aging.
